The vessel is a no-nonsense fishing platform, with a 12 ft’ beam, it affords ample room for everyone on board. Its design makes it a great vessel for fishing on Lake Erie. The Fishin’ Edition is a large vessel that meets USCG regulations.

WE CAN ACCOMMODATE PARTIES OF UP TO 7. The vessel is powered by a 375 hp John Deere diesel to get you to and from the fishing grounds in a timely and safe manner. It is equipped with multiple radios, GPS systems and fish finders to access the best fishing locations each time we leave the dock. There is lot’s of room for you to fish or take a break in the cabin. This same cabin affords you shelter from the weather and sun. Women and children are welcomed aboard, we have a private toilet in the bow of the boat.

We aim to teach the novice angler techniques to catch fish. Many of our customers do not need coaching. Whatever the case, it is our goal to help you catch fish. You will find some of the finest fishing rods and reels available for you to use or you can bring your own gear.

OUR PREFERRED METHOD OF CAPTURE IS DRIFT FISHING, ROD IN HAND, that is our specialty. Meaning you get to cast out, retrieve and catch the fish yourself.

Captain Adam and Captain Don
Over 25 Year’s of Experience

The crew of the Fishin’ Edition consists of Capt. Adam Welch and Captain Don Pisula. With over 25 years experience fishing Lake Erie, we will work tirelessly to put you on the fish. We will constantly give you different methods to try and we will change weights and colors of your rig if you are having no success. We just do not drive the boat and go on the bow and fish. We want to get acquainted with you. Your success means repeat business and that is what we strive for. You will be able to keep our allowed catch. We offer two types of Charters. One is a 7 hour trip dock to dock and the other is a 10 hour trip dock to dock. If we limit out early we will keep you out for the allowed time, that is up to you. Look for the rates on the Charter Rates page. Make sure to look at our Facebook page for recent photos and reports.

Things that you should plan to bring along are as follows. First and foremost you need to have an Ohio Fishing License. You can get one online at www.ohiodnr.com, or we have a bait store across from the marina. You are more than welcomed to bring your own pole and tackle. Make sure to bring rain gear, just because the weather is showing no rain, bring it anyways, it is not always used for the rain.

Next, you can bring your food and beverages that you desire. Alcohol is allowed on this vessel. We prefer cans but whatever you want to bring is fine with us. No illegal drugs are permitted on this vessel. You will also need to bring suntan lotion to help protect you from the sun.

Another thing to bring is a cooler for your catch on the way home.

One other thing to think about is some seasick medication if you are prone to it. We recommend taking it the night before so that it is in your system by the time you board the boat.

As far as the weather goes , it is the Captain’s call whether or not the fishing trip will be a go. We try our best to get you out on your scheduled date but sometimes mother nature does not allow for that. What we will do if there is a cancellation due to the weather, is either try to reschedule your trip or we will refund your deposit. Cancellations from you are required 7 days in advance of the scheduled trip.
